Description

Wallenberg's Youth For Chinese Elderly(YCE) club is a branch of
the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter. The goal and purpose
of this club is to inform and prepare mainly the Chinese
community in case of emergency disasters. Our school is one of
nine schools in the SFUSD that is actively involved in giving
back to the community.

Through volunteering, members learn to work with one another,
not only with those from our school, but also others such as
members from other schools, the elderly, and the community.
Members are required to take a basic aid training or fist-aid
course, both given to members by the American Red Cross Bay
Area Chapter.

The YCE program participates in a wide range of voluntary
services including street fairs, visits to senior buildings, and
acquiring donations for the disaster relief fund.
