Mr. Pablo Garcia

AP Calculus, AP Statistics and Pre-Calculus


Mr. Garcia was raised in Southern California.  He earned his BA and Masters degrees in Math from California State University at Fullerton.  He taught Math At Laguna Hills High School for 13 years before coming to Raoul Wallenberg High School, where he has been for 5 years. 

 

In his spare time Mr. Garcia likes to ride his mountain bike and spend time with family.

Mr. Merrill

Algebra 1, Geometry

 

Mr. Merrill grew up in Pittsburg, California, a small town at the end of the Pittsburg/Bay-point BART line.  He earned a Masters degree in Teacher Education from University of San Francisco (across the street!) where he also received his undergraduate degree in Physics and Math.  Mr. Merrill tutored math in the After School Program here at Raoul Wallenberg High School from Fall 2011 - Spring 2014; he started teaching here in Fall 2015.

 

In his spare time, Mr. Merrill enjoys cooking, reading about cosmology and playing basketball. making creative origami figures and playing piano. Go Giants!

Mr. Jorge Herrera

Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus

 

Mr. Herrera grew up in Central Mexico, where he studied math and psychology. Before teaching at Raoul Wallenberg High School, he taught high School mathematics in Dallas, Texas for five years.  He also work in the telecommunications industry for two years.  

 

In his spare time, Mr. Herrera enjoys reading history and hiking.


Mr. Jake Barkemeyer

Algebra 1, Geometry

 

Mr. Barkemeyer grew up on a farm in Los Lunas, Southern New Mexico.  He graduated from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

 

In his free time Mr. Barkemeyer enjoys photography,watching basketball, and travel.
